For the Love of Dachshunds

Image
At Bronner's Christmas store they had these adorable banana Dachshunds. I mean really, could they be any cuter?!? I decided to do a mini album for this road trip, it's 8 x 8. I used the Mini Pennants, the heart from Holiday Monkey, and white embossing powder from My Stamp Box.

There's a group on Facebook called Journal52. Each week there is a different prompt for you to use in your art journal. I am a bit behind and just finished week 1 today (starting to work on week two now), the prompt was Up and Away. Neat, huh? For my journal page I used a hot air balloon and tons of ink. I hope ya like it!   Supplies: Miracle tape (Viva Las Vegastamps), Dylusions spray inks (Ranger), Copper Memories Mist (Stewart Superior), Gelatos (Faber Castell), Paint markers (black and white), Liquitex fluid ink, stencils (I cut my own on the Cameo!), scissors, gesso, paint brush, heat gun, black embossing powder (My Stamp Box), Holographic embossing powder (Ranger), book to work in, paper towels for blotting, stamps, inks, scrap of patterned paper.   What to do: 1. Coat the page(s) you're working on with gesso and let dry (or dry with heat tool). Once dry scribble some gelatos around the edges. Blend with wet finger.  2. Lay a stencil on the page

A Little Monkey Lovin' Valentine

Image
Yep, I'm getting a jump start on Valentine's cards this year!   This cute (if I do say so myself!) card uses the Holiday Monkey stamp set from My Stamp Box . I stamped him on kraft card stock using black Mixed Media ink and then embossed it using black embossing powder from My Stamp Box. I REALLY like their EPs     This card was pretty easy to make. Stamp and emboss the monkey and cut out. Cut out sentiment on the Cameo out of glitter paper. Stamp hearts ( also from the Holiday Monkey set ) using Cardinal & Turquoise VersaColor inks. Add some sticker hearts, place monkey on card, and add the sentiment.       And here's your wiener...
