Let's Art Journal!

Want to do an art journal page?

Here we go!

What you'll need:
A book to work in (this book is a Strathmore Visual Journal)
Pastels (I used Pan Pastels)
Stamps (mine are Tim Holtz)
Colored Pencils
Gesso
White Paint Pen
Staz On or Archival Ink
Glossy Accents
Glitter Pen (Sakura)
Ditto Spray (Green)
Scrap of Card Stock
Heat Gun
Paint Brush
Paper Towel

Paint Page with gesso. Dry with heat tool.
I painted over a back ground that didn't turn out well.
Add some pale green and orange pastel to cover the gesso'd page.
Rub gently with paper towel to remove excess pastel.
Stamp some flourish-y flower-y things across the bottom of the page using permanent ink.
Use a little colored pencil on the stamped images.
Go over some of the stamped images with the glitter pen.
Stamp 3 butterflies on scrap card stock sung permanent ink.
Color with colored pencils, ass a little glitter pen, and cut out.
Glue the butterflies to the page using Glossy Accents.
Only glue the center of the butterflies, so they pop up a little bit.
 Aren't they pretty!
Spray a little green Ditto spray in the area of the flowers & flourishes.
Blot with paper towel. Dry with heat tool.
Make dots using paint pen.
Stamp quote on a scrap of card stock.
Tear around the quote.
Add some pastel to the quote.
Glue to page using Glossy Accents.
When gluing stuff to pastel, it's best to use a wet glue.

Here's your wiener!
My oldest child, and Buddy, a Standard Dachshund puppy looking for a home!
If you're interested please let me know. He's in Ohio, staying at my house.
I can't keep him because Sammy is VERY mad and being really mean to the little guy.
